We curate experiences for positive change

Open up to the New   ·   Awaken the Senses   ·   Connect with Nature

LIMINAL is a TRANSITIONAL state of being amidst two different states. To be liminal is a process of AWARENESS in OPENING up to the NEW.

Joshua Sternlicht

Joshua is a filmmaker, visionary educator and experience curator who worked in USA, China, Philippines, Germany, and Portugal. His films explore the boundaries between documentary and fiction on subjects ranging from climate change to human migration. Building from his storytelling background, Joshua is the creative director of Liminal Sessions and facilitates holistic experiences that bridge the arts, sciences, and perception. He is an environmental and sustainable energy activist currently developing an eco-project in Portugal to host Liminal Sessions events, workshops, festivals, and residencies.

Lea Mirbach

Lea is a cross-skilled designer, chef and healer with a background in interior design, scenography, and event architecture. In 2017 her slow-madic lifestyle brought her to Portugal where she practices zen shiatsu massage, holistic healing, and serves as a regenerative culture agent and experience designer. As chef and co-facilitator at Liminal Sessions, Lea brings an innovative flair combining culinary arts, sound journeys and healing to nurture refinement of the senses and a closer connection to nature. Lea is also co-founder of BoaCollective; creating experiences around awareness and sustainable transformation.

Gustavo Pimenta

Gustavo is an avid lifelong learner with two decades of experience in strategic design, experience design, and management of digital transformation processes. His life path was marked by vast professional and personal experiences, which allow him to adopt an approach based on radical diversity and leverage knowledge from different “worlds.” He collaborates with organizations from idea to implementation and with people from purpose to action. The pillars of his approach are multi-scale design, continuous learning, and meaningful productivity.

Gustavo Pimenta

Gustavo is an avid lifelong learner with almost two decades of experience in strategic design, experience design, and management of digital transformation processes. He currently works as an independent contractor, leveraging his vast experience with digital projects in a variety of organizations, from startups to enterprises, across a broad array of sectors. Gustavo sees design as an exercise of zooming in and out, from micro to meta, and the spaces in between. That connects strategy and action in a continuum where all stakeholders are aligned to meaningfully impact systems, businesses, and people.
